WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!
Walt Disney World is probably the MOST magical place on Earth! Everyone there is a prince or princess, regardless of age. This post I'm gonna talk about what to take with you to Disney...if you've never been there no worries! Your trip will be magical with or without some of these items. For returning members I hope to remind you of some things you may have wished you had packed before!
First things first...clothing! Yes, clothes are very important in this trip. Orlando, FL is always sunny, and even if it's not sunny, it's humid. I recommend shorts and tank tops (or T-shirts, if you don't want to expose your shoulders). Which brings me to the second most IMPORTANT thing to pack: SUNCSCREEN! You will burn without it! Expect weather in the 80s to 90s range! With that in mind remember to also pack a bathing suit! Your resort will have a pool! Also don't worry about bringing beach towels as those are provided for you by the resort!
Moving on to other things to pack. Shoes are very important! Yes bring flip flops for the pool and possibly any late night runs to the food court, but do NOT use flip flops for the parks! I have done that and by the end of the day those flip flops become your worse nightmare! Definitely bring sneakers, or tennis shoes, for the parks. Also bring socks, as silly as it sounds a good pair of socks with a good pair of shoes can make your whole trip a whole lot better! I personally would bring short socks and not tall socks (especially if your concerned about tan line).
Moving on from clothing, let's talk about bathroom necessities! If you are flying down, make sure any liquids you keep in your carry-on bag must be under 3 fl oz! They will take it if it is over that limit! I recommend bringing hotel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in your carry-on if that's what you choose. If your having your bag checked in, then size doesn't matter.
While at the airport that may be a good time to have flip flops on as they are easier to take on and off through security. If you plan to go straight from the airport to a park, WITHOUT stopping at somewhere to change into sneakers, wear your walking shoes to the airport!
Now airports are cold, and sometimes you arrive at the gate earlier than you would like because of getting through security! Having a sweatshirt isn't a bad idea; however, you will have to carry it everywhere. When I was younger I was forced to have a sweatshirt on at home, since the temperature here is cooler than down in FL. As I got older I stopped bringing one out of laziness; nevertheless, I would recommend having one if you can't stand the cold.
Okay, now there are some fun essential things I would bring as well along with those necessities! An autograph book is a great, especially for younger or first timers! Character meet and greets are everywhere in the parks and even in restaurants! Having an autograph book for characters to sign is a great souvenir! Something to note is that you don't have to have the traditional autograph book, having just a small plain notebook will work! Sharpies are the best things for characters to write with! Oh it's important to know that characters can't sign any article of clothing you're wearing. Sorry to those who wanted to have their T-shirt signed! For some characters it's challenging trying to sigh something that isn't paper!
Well there are some of the essential things you should pack for your Disney trip! I'm sure you probably can think of some other things, but I hope these tips were helpful in your packing! Now onto the Magical Express and the beginning of your magical trip starts........ NOW!!
