Ever wonder what it's like to be small? Not short. Small. Say the size of an ant? Welcome to Disney's Animal Kingdom! A place where you get to experience wildlife from all over the world! This park has a huge emphasis on taking care of our environment. They don't even give you plasticcups or lids when you get drinks! Every paper product is recyclable and also biodegradable.
This park is the largest in area compared to all of the other parks. If I recall about 4 Magic Kingdoms fits in Animal Kingdom's parking lot alone. Much of this park is covered in vegetation and at the heart is the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is home to the attraction It's Tough to be a Bug. Here you can visit Flick from Bug's Life and may other creepy crawly friends! But be careful of the stink bugs and watch were you step! You don't want to crush any of the performers by accident. And also remember that the performers exit before you so don't be surprised to feel them walking across you seat!
Probably the best show in all of the Disney parks is housed here. Disney's Festival of the Lion King is a colorful show that celebrates all living things in the Circle of Life. Join Simba, Timon, Pumba, and some new friends in this celebration! This show is interactive and the stage is in the center with the audience surrounded. In other words, no seat is a bad seat! This attraction is a must see!
If shows aren't you're forte, there are plenty of other types of attractions. How does a two week trek through Africa sound? Well pack your bags and be sure to bring your camera's to Kilimanjaro's Safari! This two week journey takes you from the rainforests to the grasslands to see animals and plants from all over Africa! The best place to sit on this attraction (if you plan to take pictures) is the second from the window seat. This ride is very bumpy and has many jolts and sudden stops. It's quite possible you could lose whatever device you are using to take pictures and cast members will not retrieve these items as the wildlife in this attraction isn't always confined to one space.
If after that two week trek you still have some energy, how about a hike? Say a hike up Mount Everest? Expedition Everest is a rollercoaster that takes you to the peak of the world's tallest mountain! Keep your eyes peeled for the mythical (or not so mythical) YETI! Yes the Yeti exists and he is the protector of the mountain. Be careful on your journey, he knows you're there and he plans to make you leave. Before you get to see the top of the mountain your expedition is cut short. The yeti has broken the track! Your train can no longer travel and must go back... and the only way to go back on this ride, is backwards!
This park is by far the largest, yet fun fact: it closes the earliest out of all the parks. This park is only open until 7pm! This is a normal schedule, sometimes parks have what's called Magic Hours, which are hours that park is open either earlier than normal or later than normal. Magic Hours for this park usually occur in the morning causing opening to be earlier. The reason this park closes is due to all of the wildlife that it houses.
So don't stress if you can't get this whole park in one day...Hakuna Matata! You'll find yourself here again someday and be able to experience more this park has to offer!

The last time I was at Disney was probably when I was 8 or 9 years old, and honestly there is not a whole lot I remember except for lines that lasted an eternity and meeting Cinderella in the castle. Out of the few things that stuck with me, one of the most memorable things we did was visit Animal Kingdom! I remember staying in a hotel room that overlooked giraffes and falling in love with it all! It was a really cool experience, and I hope I make it back sometime!
